Worm Wheel

Worm Wheel

A worm gear (or worm drive) is a gear arrangement in which a screw-shaped component (the worm) meshes with a gear or wheel similar to a spur gear. This configuration enables precise control of rotational speed while allowing the transmission of higher torque. Worm gears are widely used across applications, from everyday household devices to heavy industrial machinery. One of the simplest examples can be seen in the tuning mechanism of an acoustic guitar.
